Infrastructure monitoring
Not moved
qmon.qentratech.com
QMON runs on quriou.com, and has to stay there.
Estate monitoring — what is up, what is slow, which certificate expires next, and which host nobody has looked at in a month.
This address is reserved, not in use. QMON discovers what to watch by running uapi through a shell, and it collects on a cron every five minutes. This account has shell access disabled and exposes no cron API, so a copy here would be a monitoring system that silently monitors nothing — worse than no copy at all. It keeps running where it works.
- Live and working at qmon.quriou.com, using the estate sign-in.
- The Android app reports there with its own key; that address is compiled into the installed build.
- Moving it needs shell access enabled on this account and its three cron jobs recreated — both require action in cPanel or a request to Namecheap.
What would have to change
Namecheap enables SSH on this account, and the three cron jobs are recreated through cPanel. Until then, moving QMON would trade a working monitor for a broken one.
